Currently GEM is operating on an invite only basis. However, you can download the GEM App from the App Store and apply as a Business or Influencer user. Once applied hang tight as we typically approve users within 72 hours. Once your approval request is submitted, please be on the lookout for requests for additional information we may need to verify your profile and provide any requested information promptly.

How do I cancel an Offer?2018-11-04T22:11:04+00:00

The GEM community is for serious Business and Influencer users. We have created this unique environment to ensure users a safe place to handle business with other parties who are ready to complete a booking. Once an offer is accepted, confirmed and payment has been posted to the GEM Vault, the deal is considered final, the funds are guaranteed to the Influencer and the Influencer is required to complete their obligations as outlined in the agreed upon deal points. There are, however, rare circumstances when bookings may be excused, such as a natural disaster, war, terrorism of threats of terrorism, civil disorder, labor strikes, death of a user involved with the deal, or other rare occurrence when it would be inadvisable, commercially impracticable, illegal or impossible to perform. In any such instance, a deal may be cancelled, the date for the booking may be changed or other alternatives may be considered. Should issues regarding cancellation arise, please contact our support staff at cancel@gemtheapp.com and a representative will be in touch promptly.

How does GEM verify payment/banking information?2018-11-04T22:10:23+00:00

GEM uses Plaid* (link it) where you select your bank then enter you login credentials to verify. If Plaid does not recognize your bank, you will need to manually enter your account information via the GEM Vault. After 1-3 business days two micro deposits will be made into your bank account and you will be prompted to verify your bank account by entering the two micro deposit amounts into the GEM Vault. The micro deposits will appear in your bank transaction statement as “GEM TRANSFER AMOUNT.” After verifying the two micro deposit amounts, your account will be officially verified and ready for transactions! Stripe is a leading payment processor that has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and has PCI Service Provider Level 1 certification. This is the highest level of certification for a service provider and demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining information security for users. Stripe makes use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.

Once an agreement for a booking is confirmed between an Influencer and a Business User, the booking budget amount is held in an “escrow type” account, the GEM Vault, via Stripe GEM’s payment processor. Once the Influencer has completed the booking, the Influencer funds will automatically be transfer to the selected bank account the Influencer chose for that specific booking.

For bookings that involve users making social media posts, how long do the social posts need to stay active?2018-11-04T22:09:05+00:00

At GEM we encourage users to keep any social posts LIVE for at least 30 days unless otherwise agreed in the offer deal points. We are here to assist one another.
